I've had similar problem. Just moved about 2 weeks ago and when we hooked up the computer again and tried to Skype got the same message. Running windows XP (yep, older computer). Skype worked fine before the move. Checked my cam through the "options" function and it works. Any suggestions are appreciated. (i also downloaded latest version of Skype as well). Thx.
SOLUTION! (Worked on mine anyhow) Windows 7. Left-click 'start', type in 'device manager' (Just 'dev' will work) left-click on 'device manager', left-click 'sound, video and game controllers'. Right-click on 'high definition audio device', left-click 'uninstall'. Left- click 'OK'. I uninstalled both items. Restart computer. Should automatically reinstall. Gotta have a little patients. Like I said, it worked for me, but God only knows in the world of computers!
Hello, Earlier I called my friends several times via skype and everything worked perfectly. Now however, when I try and call, I get the message "Problem with Recording Device". The camera appears to be working. I removed skype and reinstalled new version of skype 220.127.116.11. Later i tried to call it is still not working and showing same as "problem with recording device". Please help me.
I got the same problem as you above me, i've done every "solution" thats in here, mostly every. Nothing worked. I don't got a microphone and i don't got any webcam
