Maximum number of contacts? Any limits?

I am wondering if there is a limit on how many contacts you add on your skype account. The normal skype account using windows.

I heard it is something around 7000. Is this true?

I don't think any such limit has ever been stated, but if there is any, it would likely relate to some sqlite database limit

Actually there seems to be a limit of 7450 contacts.
