Import Contacts from Another Skype Account

My company initially had me an account set up, then they set up new corporate accounts for everyone.  Now, I have a new Skype Id and phone number. 

Is there a way for me to copy all the contacts I have set up under my old skype name to my new skype name?  Or, export them out under the old name and import them back in under the new name?

-Old Skype name

Contacts > Advanced > Backup Contacts

remember where you saved the .vcf file!

-New Skype name

Contacts > Advanced > Restore Contacts

Do you know if that will actually work?

I was wondering myself since even if Skype will let you restore from a .vcf file with a different account name, the contacts will not have "shared information" with the new account.

Y'know, I was surprised that procedure worked from a security standpoint, so I tried it myself. 

I have a couple of rarely used Skype accounts I use for testing.  I exported the contact list from one and imported it to the other.  The contacts from account 1 did show up in account 2's Contact list, but they all show "This person has not shared details with you."  

It's the same as sending someone a contact request and having them ignore it.  You don't see them as online, and you can't send them IM's and call them.  At least that's what happened here, which is what I expected.

When you imported your old account's contact list in to your new account, did the contacts show up and normal online or offline in the new account's Contact list?

I did get the "person has not shared details with you" for the Skype to Skype contacts, but my priority interest was contacts for phone numbers.  I use Skype calling to talk to my clients on a regular basis, and I hoped I would not have to re-enter all the client's phone numbers.  That part did work just fine.

What about Skype (Mac)?. I can't see any option for "Backup Contacts"

I have to know that, if i import another skype account to new one, request will alert to friends?

No.  You'll have to resend contact requests to all of your contacts.
