How to listen to/access a recorded conference call

Greetings.  I have a contact for freeconferencing.8053991000 if I am live on the call.  But there is a different number I need to use to listen to the recording of the conference call.

I can't figure out how to get access to the recorded call.  I've tried freeconferencing.8053991099 (the number to listen to the recorded conference) but doesn't recognize it.

Does anyone know how I can listen to the recorded conference call?

Thank you.

Re: How to listen to/access a recorded conference call

Are you dialing+1 before the number, as in +18053991099  ?   If I dial that way it goes right through and I get a recording asking for an access code.

Re: How to listen to/access a recorded conference call

Well, I hadn't even thought of that, so I tried it and it says I need to buy time or whatever the exact words are.

I am new to Skype, and I don't really remember how I finally figured out how to add the freeconferencing.8053991000 number.  I believe I put it in the bottom option, the Skype contact name and it worked.  I didn't add a "1" to that.

I have tried just putting freeconferencing.8053991099 in the bottom line to listen to the recorded conference call, with and without the 1.  And I have tried putting freeconferencing. in the bottom line with the phone number 8053991099 in the phone number line with and without the 1 and that is also invalid.

Is it supposed to be free to listen to the recorded conference call too?

I appreciate your help!

Thank you.

Re: How to listen to/access a recorded conference call

I'm at a disadvantage because I don't know anything about freeconferencing.  However,  it seems like what they're asking to do is call a phone number.   Phone calls via Skype are not free.   You need credits or a subscription to call them.

Looking at the FreeConferencing website where it says "Get on the Call using Skype,"  it sounds like they're describing how you add the number as a Skype contact, but it still a phone call and thus still needs some form of paid service.  And their directions for adding a contact don't work for me.   I can add a contact with Skype name freeconferencing with a phone number of 8053991099 but I can't put it together in the add-a-contact window as freeconferencing.8053991099.

Someone else may chime in here with a better idea, but I would suggest you contact FreeConferencing and ask them if that is indeed a phone number you're supposed to call, or if you're supposed to somehow be entering it into a browser.

Re: How to listen to/access a recorded conference call

I took your advice and called freeconferencing.  I was told that the number I am trying to call for the "recorded" conference call is a long distance number, it is not free to go through Skype, but that they (the people who recorded the conference call) should be able to send me a "link" to the recording so I don't have to call.

Thank you for helping me figure it out.

I know what this person is talking about and the question remains. Whoever gave the "Answer" is incorrect. So, Sherri, I'm unaware of a solution for this problem short of getting a subscription from skype.

Re: How to listen to/access a recorded conference call

[ Edited ]

I have been listening to conference calls for 1-1/2 years on Skype with no problem.  As of yesterday when I call these conference calls a Skype recording comes on saying This Number Out of Service Now.  I have a unlimited subscription for long distance and I am paid in full on my account.  Can anyone help? Thank you, Joyanne
