How to delete skype messages [ Edited ]

Which mobile devices are you referring to?  As I understand it, the Skype application looks and performs differently depending on the platform upon which Skype is running.  Best, post your enquiry on the community message board which matches your device's operating system:

Im sorry I cannot find the tools or ptions anywhere... Just want to delete a message sent 12 hours ago. Please help, Thank you! It says the time I sent it on the right hand side of the chat message, it does not say pending does this mean it has already been received/read? thanx very much

Messages can only be deleted within 1 hour timeframe. There is nothing you can do after this timeframe has expired.

Could you please answer this question?; I have exactly the same concern: I do not want to delete my whole Skype chat history, only the chat history por some of my contacts.  How do I do that?  I see no answer for this question in all the postings up to 9.nov.12.  Help please!

There is no option to delete single conversations directly from Skype but this is possible using 3rd party applications, as e.g SkypeX or any standard SQLite editor. See e.g. this:

Thanks for your answer and help. I read with this tool you only erase chats from your computer but once you access with a different computer they are still there.  If you ever find a tool por permanen erasing, please let me know.  Thanks again!

Such tool doesn't exist and I doubt it will ever be available. Nothing what you are doing on one computer will have any effect on other computers. Chats are saved locally only.

If you right click a message and click remove message it removes that 1 message that you just right clicked. I had the same question and just found out by my friend today lol.
