I created my first Skype account years ago. It was always logged in on my PC so I actually forgot the password. The e-mail address which I originally used no longer existed at the time I tried to retrieve the password. I went ahead and started a new Skype account which I still use with ACTIVE e-mail accounts! Now all I want to do is deactivate the old one so that when people search me on Skype they only see my current profile. Can someone please help? *edited for privacy*

Hi, hugo_tickner, and welcome to the Community!
The other pieces of information Skype Customer Service would use to verify your ownership of the account are included in this FAQ article:
https://support.skype.com/en-us/faq/FA109/I-ve-for
If it is possible to recover access to the old account, you could then sign on, delete all personally idenitifiable information, and abandon the account. Skype does not permit accounts to be deleted once they are created.
