Hi.
Hoping for a bit of guidance from "you guys"!!
Been Skyping from Holland for over a year then came back to Blighty and caught a virus or
somithin in me laptop. Got it cleared and windows reinstalled. No problem!
Skype had been removed from my P.C., but I still have credit. How do I get to use it exactly.
I set up another account, but I can't transfer my credit.
I'm a big technophobe, so go easy on me.
Cheerz.

If you are already signed in when starting Skype just select "Sign Out" from the "Skype" menu to get back to the sign in screen.
I recommend to download the latest Skype and search first.
To get the most out of Skype I recommend Skype Premium.

Firstly, you shouldn't hit the power button to turn off your computer except as a last resort. That's a good way to corrupt files and cause problems in the future. If you can't see the Start > Shut Down button, tap the Windows key to bring it up so you can shut down normally. Or use Ctrl-Alt-Del and click on the red shut-down button in the lower right hand corner.
As for Skype, I suggest you reinstall using this link for version 5.6.0.110:
http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-full-56
Save the file from that link to your hard drive and run it when the download is complete.
If you get the same problem when the installation is done, rather than clicking on the X in the upper right hand corner, click on the button just to the left to the X to toggle in-and-out of full screen mode. Once out of full screen you should be able to resize the Skype window by dragging any corner toward the middle of the screen.
Lastly, the correct way to shut down Skype with the latest version is to right click on the Skype icon in your system/notification tray, then click on Quit. That should let you Quit Skype without having to shut down your PC to do so.

This is a Windows thread. I suggest you start your own thread, probably best in the Mac forum: http://community.skype.com/t5/Mac/bd-p/Mac

I have tried this and none of my contacts come up on the new computer nor the fact I have Premium acct. Please help and tell me what I am doing wrong?
Are you 100% sure that you are using exactly the same Skype name on this new computer? Are you Online on Skype?
