Contacts phone numbers

I want to edit or delete a contacts phone number because it is no longer valid. How do I do this?

Hi, philmoey, and welcome to the Community!

Please forgive me, I sometimes get lost in details! I can reply to your question two ways:

1. If you wish to change the telephone number appearing in one of your Contact's Profiles, we as users are not allowed to do this; only the owner of the account can change his or her profile and the details appearing therein.

2. If you wish to edit/update the telephone number of a Contact you have input as a telephone number, start on your main Skype window or screen showing your list of Contacts. Scroll to and click on the Contact whose telephone number you wish to change - a little telephone icon appears beside the "contact." Right click -> Edit Contact -> click OK.

--> I am a Win7 PC on Skype version 5.8.0.158
