My experience with Chat and Vision has not been good at all. I hope the following story will help others and convince the people at Skype that supporting bad partners like these reflects poorly on Skype as they are endorsed by Skype.
I ordered a Yamaha PSG-01S speaker phone on October 12, 2011. The item was promised in 6-10 business days. At 10 days I went on line to see that their inventory of the item was 12. You can't call C&V so I used their online customer service to find out when I would receive my product since it seemed they had some in stock. After 3 days I received an ambiguous e-mail about standard ship dates and was assured that my order was being processed accordingly - a form response. A few days later I send another request and get the exact same response. I replied to that response and asked for more detailed information about my order specifically. On October 31, 2011 I got a custom response about how they have seen a "high influx of orders" recently and that "...our logistics team have informed us that once they see an opportunity, they will certainly prioritise your order first." Today, November 2, 2011, I went to their site and now there are 49 units in stock and the estimated shipping time has been shortened to 2-3 business days.
This company is not even close to world class in order fulfillment or customer support for any industry. In the world of online sales and consumer electronics they aren't even in the game.
Skype, you'd better sever your ties with C&V before they tarnish your brand through their incompetence.
I'm posting this as a follow-up to my experience with Chat and Vision. On November 2nd, I asked Chat and Vision for an update to my order. On November 3rd, I received a response explaining that my order would be dispatched "late this week or early next week". Included were apologies for the continued delay. Also on November 3rd I was contacted via Skype message from Chat and Vision from another representative. He promised to look into my order. I provided him with my order information and received a response on November 7th. The response included a tracking number for the shipment of my item and notification that my $3.50 shipping fee was being refunded. I received the item today, November 10th.
Have to agree... I ordered a ipad2 from this company almost 2 weeks ago and see that the order is still being processed... even though I have paid and even though they have the item in stock. Each time I ask for a disptach date I get an automated reply.
I have real concerns that this company is trading in a purely fraudulant manner and would urge Skype to review their connection with them immediately.
On the 3rd of November I placed an order with ChatandVision for a phone after seeing that they are a Skype Global Merchant Partner. On the 5th my card was charged. After a few days I noticed that the order was still processing. After sending several enquiries that told be that the standard dispatch time is 3 to 10 working days. At the beginning of last week (14th) I was told that there was a delay and that the phone would be dispatched within the week. On Monday (21st) I was told that the phone would be dispatched within the next few days. I contacted them today and they still cannot tell me when the phone will be dispatched. By the way at the time of order their web site showed that the phone was in stock (and still does). Today I asked for refund. They told me it would take between 3 to 10 days!! I hope I will indeed get my money back....

I have spoken with them a few times... but might as well have chatted to the wall.... they are absolutely useless as nothing has been done. 7 day waiting for refund and counting !

I ordered an ASUS videophone from them on December 4th as a Christmas present. I was surprised I didn’t receive it because I usually receive my orders from Spanish websites in one business day (I am in Spain). So I sent them an email and I didn’t get any answer. I finally found this post so I called (+44) 0870 295 9128. They told me that they are still looking for the item so I won’t probably get it before Christmas. I saw the same product in Taiwan for a much better price but I expressly ordered it through this official Skype Spain merchant because I wanted a quick delivery. Guess what?
- They don’t have the products in stock!
- It looks like they are located in your local country but they are in Honk Kong!
SKYPE, please give up with this bad company and leave the possibility to your customers to give a note to your merchants. At least, I would have known they were so bad and I wouldn’t have ordered anything.
I have to totally agree with this. Chat and Vision are NOT to be trusted. They're holding onto my money, seemingly refusing to refund it even though I cancelled my order two days after it was placed, nothing was shipped. I cancelled the order because of their disgusting customer services.
Please do NOT order through Chat and Vision. Because of them, I have had to borrow money to get through the month. They're nothing short of criminals and I hope to deprive them of plenty of custom through warning innocent consumers off.
i did check on the "Plantronics C120-m" headset that is being offered by Skype and "Chatandvision"
This model does not show up on the "Plantronics" website (even as a similar looking model) nor any other reputable site. Hong Kong follows China's enthusuasm for protecting consumers (sarcasm) (In the USA things are not much better actually, but they do protect trade names because it it is looking after corporations)
I was interested in buying it but I am way too cynical to do so now.
I am losing faith in Skype. The original guys were OK but then it was bought by witch Meg Whit(less)man for Ebay and now Microsoft owns it. Now we all know how Microsoft look after their consumers.
