Hi, woody0707,
I found the following information (below), here: https://support.skype.com/en-us/faq/FA390/Who-can-
"If you click Skype > Profile > Edit Your Profile…, you can see which information can be seen by whom. The column on the right displays the words ‘public’, ‘contacts only’ or ‘private’ for each piece of information.
"If these words are disabled (greyed out) it means you can’t control who sees the information, but you can change or delete the information. Just click on the bit you want to change and retype (or delete) it, then click the tick icon. (Note that you can’t change your Skype Name.) If the words are black with a little down arrow, you can control who sees that information – just click the down arrow and change to a different option.
In the above example, you can change who can see the time and the number of contacts you have. The rest of the information is visible to everyone using Skype, but you can change or remove the information."
So, to remove your birthday inforamation, click on the arrow beside Year and then click on the blank above the year 1900. Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Elaine

I only see the birthday at the public profile. The Page you can edit the profile,I do not see my birthday, so I can not click on the arrow and change the date. What do you do?

Hi, Moreshet, and welcome to the Community!
I am a Win 7 PC on Skype 5.9.0.114. After navigating my way to my profile screen, I can click on Public profile or Contacts only buttons at the top of the window. The view switches back and forth; click Edit (the "Edit" button) to change the details of the particular view you wish to change. The Birth date row is the third from the bottom of the screen; there is a drop-down arrow for Day, Month, and Year. For your birth date not to display, click the drop-down arrow for each field and click on the blank box above 1 for the Day, above January for the Month, and above 1900 for the Year.
I hope I explained this better; please let me know!
Best regards,
Elaine

Hi, steveuj, and welcome to the Community!
Unfortunately, Skype defaults the birthday settings to Public view; we do not have a choice for displaying our birthday details as Public, Private, or Contacts Only.
Best regards,
Elaine

Trying to save "Day, Month, Year" instead of my birthday dates did not work for me in Win7. What just worked was instead using the profile on my mobile phone version of Skype and turning "Show" to OFF.

Hi, Neddy, and welcome to the Community!
For what it's worth, I agree with you. I would "open up" more Profile settings to allow for choices as well.
Regards,
Elaine

I can't see where after I add my birthday date and just month to save it? There's no save button anyplace?
