Asking for credits???

Im trying to make a skype to skype call and it keeps asking me to purchase credits. I thought skype to skype calls were free. Can any one help?????

Skype-to-Skype calls are indeed free.  If you're being asked to purchase credits it's likely because you're trying to call a phone number, rather than a Skype contact.

Im using the skype app on my phone, would that make a difference?

No, it wouldn't.  As long as your making a Skype-to-Skype call to someone on your Contact list, someone you've exchanged details with, the call would still be free.

When I try to answer a call from a skype contact, it tells me I dont have enough credits. When I try to call a skype contact it does the same thing.

That doesn't make sense.  You should never require credits to accept an incoming call.

What type of phone are you using?
