Skype Manager invite member by Skype Name Mssing

Based on [invalid URL] I was hoping to be able to invite members of my team by Skype name instead of reinventing the wheel and forcing them to use new names.

However, while following the directions I couldn't for the life of me locate where I should be seeing this feature. There's no text on any of the pages indicating "or Skype name."

Suggestions?

This used to work, but for reasons best known to themselves Skype removed the facility.

As I understand it Skype Manager only adds clients invited via their manager panel, existing accounts created by other means cannot be invited.

This is the sole reason we're not going to use Skype for our business conferencing.  We have a large team, and everyone has their own skype names that are already known to everyone else and, more importantly, to the vendors/contractors/clients we work with.  Forcing everyone to switch to new names is a non-starter for us.

There are a couple of external vendors, such as this one, who offer conference bridge services including Skype calls. In general their conference facilities are better featured than Skype's. Usually this involves an extra fee, but in many business circumstances is probably worth it. My company uses this type of thing on our international trading floor projects where we often have people scattered geographically.

Edit: Ooops Citrix have decided to kill the service mentioned in my link above as of Feb 2012, but there are others.

It's frustrating to me that the documentation indicates this is possible but that the functionality has been stripped from Skype Manager.

I hope they take the time to either update the documentation, or add the funtionality back into the Skype Manager product.

haha I have even spoke with Live chat that say it should be able to do this acct ion,, omg whats happening with skype when there own personal dont know what they are talking about, same thing happen with affiliate side, its a joke no links work, its like a 11 year old has build this site!!!!!
