Cannot connect to Skypw

Had Skype before, always connected with no problem.  Recently uninstalled programs since hard drive had no more room.  Careful not to delete anything necessary.  Getting "Skype can't connect" message.  Uninstalled Skype, then re-installed it. Getting same message. Again, always worked before. When I try to sign in, circle goes round and round, then I get above message. Any ideas for help?

God knows who i'm typing to here, hopefully its the Support network. Anyway, I haven't been able to log on for days now. No problems logging on and giving you £10 to update my account though! Can anyone look in to this problem? there are no phone numbers either who i can talk to about this problem..............HELP.....my email address is*edited for privacy*....     can someone from the support group help me. Thanks very much

Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata%, press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old. Restart Skype.

thanks for your replies.

After hours of frustration, i have found the only way i can resolve the problem is by taking Skype off my computer at the end of the day and then download it again every morning.  It seems to be working this way.  A lot of work i know and shouldn't have to but if it works this way then will continue to do that.
