I would like to start using Skype internally however I cannot seem to find a way to block my users from adding their own contacts. I have downloaded the policy template but I do not see a setting. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello cracine-eai,
The answer to your question can be found in our IT Administrator Guide for Skype at the website: http://download.skype.com/share/business/guides/sk
You will need to be in an Active Directory environment.
On page 17, at the end of the section you'll see a link to Appendix 1 which is a list of Configurable policies. There you will find a setting that controls whether contacts can be added by the typical user or not.
Thank you for your posting and I hope this helps!
Regards,
Chris K.

thanks for the reply but it only address the possibility of blocking importing of contacts, i am not sure if it can block adding a contact manually.
also, why does it have to be some complicated, as skype is used in most enterprise settings, a business version of skype can can handle this kind of administrative needs sure is going to help business.
