Unable to contact any of my contacts on Skype!!

From my Skype home page I cannot skype any of my contacts. I get a message saying home skype unavailable. I am also told no internet connection but I know this is working because I'm able to access other online activities.

I also got the same problem -- I cannot send Skype Invites to friends because the Skype feature is very few in my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0+ using Skype Android version. We need Skype Invites for handshaking between each other first and before we could make Video Chats. If I let other friends send their Invites to me and I accept it then we make a nice contact.

Try that and just tell your Skype ID name to them. 

What is your computer?  Your O.S., brand and model so I could help you correctly. 

Now I ask skype support if they can tell me how to send out Invites -- step-by-steps PLEASE.

Hi,

I was getting that same message "Skype Home Unavailable, check back later" after I got an update to a newer version of Skype. I think I read somewhere in Support to sign out, something I don't usually do because noone else uses it. Anyway after sign out, shut computer off and back on I found I had a working home page, besides a few changes I noticed, meaning the newer version was working now. Hope your solution can be as easy as this. Good luck.

When I select "Make a Call" I get a message that says "This page cannot be displayed".         

What am I doing wrong?

Because my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7+ is too new to me and I've to get acquainted with all the setting for Android tablet. The much advanced Windows version for desktop PC is much easy to function Skype usages. But finally I find it and I post here so others may also enjoy their Samsung Tablet.

How to send your skype Invite in order to make handshake and to add contacts before we could make video Chat:

1. Press or Tab Contact Icon were you could find Echo and to test your Microphone.

2. Press the Magnifying glass found at the top right corner until search contacts to Call or IM your friends appears.

3. Tab Name or Phone Number (found on top) until Keyboard appears.

4. Type their Skype ID or name then tab Search Skype Directory.

5. [  ] skype name appears (If their are skype registered) > Tab it

6. Tab Add or the (+) sign.

7. Skype type Invite message: Hi, I'd like to add you as a contact on skype.  (Your Name).

8. Tab Add Contact button.

9. Wait and until your friends answer your invite then their skype picture Icon will appear in your Contact list.

10. If their Icon is green meaning they're online and you can make contact calls. 

11. Tab their skype Icon and tab Video Call.

12. Your friend may press Answer or Answer with Video or Decline. 

So, the trick is the Magnifying glass -- continue pressing it until steps No. 3 appears.

Since last two months I have not used skype.But when I came back from holidays,I have been trying to make contact since last 6days I am notified recording problem.I am just about to crack my head.At present Ineed to skype very desperately.Pl. help.
