My local area code is 519 (London, Canada) but my Skype to go numbers start with 226-777 . I didn't know until I saw my last telephone bill were the phone company is charging every call made to this skype to go numbers as a long distance call. Any solution ?
I live in Kitchener, ON and have just looked at our telephone bill. The same problem. I've been charged for long distance charges for each call!! I hope that Skype responds. I now have a $33 long distance bill and I'm not happy.
Ow, that does hurt! I think the problem is that Skype did not assign us "519" area codes. I've sent Customer Service an email, suggesting that the problem be fixed or return my money!! Will have to wait and see what happens.
