I have had the same online number for quite some time. I just called my daughter from my Skype # & she told me that my ID said unknown caller. I tried calling myself & a number other than the number I paid for showed on my caller ID. When I called the # back it said that this # is not assiciated with any known users or providers ( I called myself 3 times & got the same # & recording each time) & therefore can not be reached through this number. I pay Skype for an online #, when I call someone I expect the # I paid for to show up on my caller's ID. I also expect them to be able to call be back when I leave a message. The recording went on to say that the caller's (me) number can only be accessed via court order! No wonder my calls are not being returned! What is going on with this? And don't tell me I have something connected wrong on my end, because I have not made any changes in my Skype acct., my internet provider or my computer - this problem is not on my end! Also, I'm just guessing that there is actually no one at Skype who handles tech issues, because whenever you click on create a support ticket it brings you to this forum, which states at the beginning that this forum is for users, to click tech support for help, which again just brings you back here! So there's, really no tech support for Skpye - correct?
