Voicemail Does Not Play

I use Windows 2007 and I have a 24 second long voicemail.
But when i click play, nothing happens, the red marker stays in one position.
Please help as I am paying for this number and need to listen to my voicemail.
Why is there no number to call skype to access the voice message?
PS - My audio speaker settings are all working fine.

Confirmed issue on one machines here.
Skype sits there "downloading" the message for 48 hours or more.
However everything else is fine and bandwidth is over 40Mb.
This happens often on one machine, not on another!
Win7, all updates in place. Reinstalled Skype with zero improvement.

after clicking the play button, the blue bar slides across like it is loading the voicemail message to play, but never stops and the stop button does not stop the loading. So the voicemails are locked away and i can not here the messages!

I've also noticed this problem, and this is what I have noticed, and I am wondering about.
I have a skype account. I log on at my home computer. I also log on from my work computers. Both skype accounts are open at the same time and logged in with the same username and password. I get a call. I miss the call. Caller leaves a voice mail. I check the voice mail from my work and it plays fine. I check the voice mail from my home and it wont play. I can even be logged in with my cell phone. Sometimes when I miss calls I can only play the voice mail from one of my devices, my cell for example sometimes but not my home or not my work, and sometimes just from my home computer but not my cell or not my work. Is it possible that when we are logged in to the same skype account from different devices that only ONE of those devices can host the voice mail? Is that what is happening? It's being hosted on one of our devices, rather than on a server? I am so confused. But, I am on to something....... since it's happening rather frequently, and ONLY happens when I am logged on to skype from more than one device. Any ideas? Thoughts? Comments?

same problem here, nothing happens when i click the voicemail play button..
(i'm on a macbookair with lion and i'm using the most recent version of skype)

Hello All - I finally got a solution hope this works for you all.
Please remove skype, reset your audio features. And re-download skype.
I hope this helps some of you.

i reinstalled skype, did the thing first with deliting prefs etc but still no result![]()
now i have to disable the voicemail because i can't find 'the people from skype' and there is no solution in the forum. luckly my landline + voicemail contract is at the end of it's year.

On my Macintosh 10.7.5 (lion) the voice message plays (little arrow at bottom moves from left to right) but there is no sound and the mute button on the preferences is not engaged (i.e audio on movies audio etc works fine). Thus there seems to be an audio volume or audio mute problem unique to skype voice mail on this device as audio works fine during an active call.
Does anyone understand this?
