Skype online number > list of countries

when will Skype expand the current list of countries and availability of Skype online numbers? the development of this service seems to be stopped since a couple of years now, and many people are still waiting for a Skype online number in their country. Is Skype still intending to expand this list or or shall we give up waiting and set our hopes on Google Voice?

It's very noticeable that you posted in February 2012 and to-date, have not had any response.

I am a philippina living in the UK and have family and many others still in the Philippines but can only contact those who have access to a computer using Skype.  Also considering the great number of my fellow countrymen living all around the world surely this country should be totally accessible by Skype. 

I am not holding my breath waiting for a reply.

The availability of the Online # program in any particular country depends upon the telecom authorities in that country making #s available. As soon as they do we offer the service.

Hey, so I was trying to set up my online number and, for whatever reason, under the 'states' listing, there was no maine, which is where i'm from. so...what should i do?
