Other VOIP provider

Hello, 

Can I set up Skype to work as my softphone for another VOIP provider? I have the phone number already, and am currently using X-Lite but performance is terrible. My provider is Acanac (acanac.ca).

SO, do you have a Toronto Tel line with skype ????

How do I do so?

Can I get a skype tel line, or can I change my tel line for it to receive

calls from skype ???
