I recently purchased an online number, paid for one year, but its not working. Come on SKYPE, there are plenty of posts here where people are paying for SKYPE number and not getting anything. Mine is a UK number, the instructions suggested waiting a couple of hours for it to get set up, but I have now waited a couple of days, when I dial from a land line, I just get busy signal. SKYPE, please dont just take peoples money and not give them anything in return
I am having problems using skype credit and skype subscriptions. I have no idea how it work. I bought both credit and subscriptions but do not see it on my skype when I make a call. It asks me to buy credit and subscription. Regards Vic
I have purchased an online number and it is working! But I try to get the caller ID working and that doesn't work.
In my list are 2 numbers mentioned: my mobile nr which stated that it is registered and the online number.
My question is: how get I get the online number shown on the screen of the persons I call? I want people to see the online nr when I call wirh Skype and not my mobile nr. Thanks for letting me know the solution!
Hi! I am facing the same issue: when I paid for an Australian online number, it worked, then, when I set up voicemail for the online number it became continuously engaged when called from a fixed line! I had a similar situation when online numbers came onboard in 2009 - I purchased a UK number - I complained and got a full refund. It appears that it is business is as usual with no improvement all this time! Products should never be sold when it appears that this is in beta mode. It is unethical.
Go to your preferences (on a Mac) and click on the Privacy Tab. Change the "Receive calls to my skype online number from:" setting to "Anyone". Mine was set to Contacts, and I was calling from a number not in my contacts. Good luck!
