I've searched high and low on these boards to no avail. It seems that this very question has been posed before but nobody has the answer. I even emailed the Skype support team and received no response. Customer service = non-existent!
I have a UK online number with my Skype account, and I have set up forwarding to my mobile phone, however the delay in which it takes my mobile phone to actually ring is around 10 seconds. This is completely unacceptable and makes the services pointless.
I have tried changing the call forwaring settings in my Skype control panel (reducing the number of seconds until call forwarding) - this didn't work. I have also tried logging out of Skype completely in the hope that this pushes the call forwaring through more quickly - no good!
All I can say is that the call forwarding service from Skype is pointless if this problem is consistent with other Skype users. If this isn't rectified I have no choice but to cancel the service and claim the money back via my Credit Card.
Please can anybody help me?
