In my case it is showing "International". This has been working properly for the last few years and showing the correct id. It is now doing this and I haven't changed anything including equipment.
Replying to my own post... Caller ID *is* working when calling a non-BT line eg mobile & VOIP. It doesn't work when calling a British Telecom land line (have tried on 2 different numbers). Since BT is the biggest provider of telecommunications in the UK then something is broken upstream. Caller ID is working on the BT lines I called... from t-mobile, O2, 3 mobiles and sipgate VOIP. So it's something to do with the skype->BT interconnect.
Please could someone from Skype confirm whether or not Online Number Caller ID works with BT? I set up Caller ID using my Online Number (and tried a registered mobile) and it displays fine on a mobile phone (TalkMobile) but BT landline with CLI enabled shows "Unavailable". I spoke to BT and they said caller ID "does not work for internet phones" but that was just an online support chat.
Hi, My Online Number Caller ID shows up when the call is received on a mobile phone, but not on a BT landline (in the UK). My Online Number area code is Cambridge (01223) - is it possible Caller ID would work with BT if the Online Number area code was a different area, like London (020)?

If caller ID isn’t displaying, it’s possible caller ID isn’t supported by the local telecommunication provider for the country you are calling. Caller ID is passed along with a call, from Skype through the local telephone companies, up to the mobile or landline number you dialled. If one of the links in the chain does not support caller ID properly, a default number or no number at all will be displayed instead. In most countries, caller ID is supported by the local providers and the number should display as normal. However, there are a few countries where caller ID can be less reliable or it does not work at all.

Please escalate this issue. In the UK, BT has 15.8 million landline customers. Sype Online Number in the UK is useless for business until Caller ID works.
