Fact: Online Numbers Are Broken

I contacted escalated support and got this response:-

My name is Timo, and I am happy to look further into the issue you raised with my colleague.

I am sorry to hear that all your Online Numbers do not work. I would like to assure you that this is not a common behavior of a Online Number and the situation you face is a recent problem that unfortunately we do not have a solution to yet.

We are aware of this problem and are working hard on fixing it as soon as possible, as we know how important this service is for our customers.

Once again please accept our sincerest apologies, and we thank you for your patience and understanding.

I then requested a ETA and asked why they didn't just roll back, another reply:

Thank you for your reply.

Thank you for your suggestion to roll back the servers and Skype client to solve this issue. Unfortunately however the problem is more complex. We have a dedicated Development team working on it and try to have it solved as soon as possible. Unfortunately however we are currently unable to provide a ETA.

Having problems with my online number for two month or so, complaint and then worked for a few days – today it is not working anymore. My status is ALWAYS online. My Skype phone is ringing but not Skype on Windows 7. Same like before.

You guys think they will ever be able to fix this?

Online number cannot recive calls. Worked for a week, no longer can. Skype Support steps do not help. Anybody know when this issue will be resovled or a phone number to call skype direct?

Months of online phone number trouble....still paying for working online number service. Phone number doesn't show on caller i.d. accurately; trouble receiving calls; poor reception on incoming calls.

I've been having the same intermittent problems as a lot of other people seem to be having on Skype.

My number is up for renewal next week and I can't see the point in renewing.

Does anyone know of an alternative in the UK? I'm not bothered about keeping the same number, I just want something reliable that someone can call me on.

I too am having major problems with Skype online number,BUT,how in heavens name do you get any action from a company that frankly doesn't care less. Their integrity is on the line bigtime as a business.Come on Skype,do the right thing for a change,make it possible for people to get help immediately,especially businesses.

The best thing to do is re-download Skype. It will work for a few days, then re-download again.

For the record, my problem "seems" to be gone (see my previous posts for details).  I don't get many calls in but the telltale sign, a message or call record, up to 24 hours delayed, without my Windows 7 based skype phone  ever ringing, hasn't happened in at least a week.

Note that I didn't do anything on this end.  

I'll post again though, if it happens again.

Issue still persists for me. Really regret using Skype for business purposes. Online number is next to useless and I've got it printed on business cards!
