multiple Skype names associated with my email address

hi there.

I've been using Skype for years now with a single Skype name, and I noticed some time ago when doing a password reset that someone has signed up for Skype using my email address. I presume because they failed to spell their own email address correctly. (I get a TON of email coming in addressed incorrectly for various people (not spam) because people can't spell their own name or the name of their friend or acquaintaince - quite annoying really. But I guess that's a problem with using a gmail account.)

So now I have 3 Skype names associated with my email address, when there should be only 1. Is there any way to have those 2 extra Skype names removed from my email address? I searched on Skype and both of them belong to someone with the same name 'Gabriel' in the United States (I'm in Australia). I assume it's the same person.

I just don't want people searching for my email address and thinking that person is me...

I am worried about skypes security and user registration. I am not active user of skype, dont recollect if I ever created an id. Today I was trying to get in and found that some other unknown id associated with my email (below details). This surely is not me, so someone else could be spoofing and could even perform illegal activities while the email associted is mine. Not sure how skype user registration is, if any new user requires access to email followed by registration based on link in the email. (If so now need to figure out if someone hacked my email account itself).

you can simply contact customer support to request to unlink your email address from those unknown accounts;

I have the same problem, posted a question about it.

I have asked customer service to close that account but since I cannot verify some info (because I didn't create the skype user) they say they can't do it. 

So there is a skype user out there with my full name and email address that is not me and don't know how to solve it, because if I even ask skype to unlink my email, that person is still using my name.... 

But thanks because the unlink thing might help a bit!!!
