Every time that I try to change my settings, I get this message: "Sorry. Your new call forwarding settings could not be saved at this time. Please try again later." and none of my changes are saved. I'm not even updating my call forwarding settings! I use Chrome in XP with a stable Ethernet connection.

Please try doing this, it only needs to be done once when this is going on:
Please right click on the Skype Icon in your system tray and change your status to "Offline" for 5 seconds and then back to "Online".
Why can't I change privacy settings for my iPad, there is no info and no one to talk to and I'm tired of receiving these urgent messages for protection and no help from Skype. what is up SKYPE!?
After seeing this message, I realized that my status was set to Offline. As soon as I set the status to Online, I was able to change my privacy settings.
Soooo, out the blue im getting all these random IM's from random guys. One try to call me. Before I had my privacy set to no one could call nor video chat me nor IM me unless they were in my contact list. But Skype will not let me change my privacy back to it. Sooooo what can I do to change this because I am starting to feel uncomfortable and I dont want to close my skype because I use it every day.
I have the same problem, in an hour got 5-6 messages from strangers. I have to use skype for my work but this problem is very nerve-racking....please help us, what to do?!

The same thing started with me last night and the only thing that I have done is put skype on my phone!!!
THe privacy setting even though I change them and click save do not appear to be saving so I am guessing it is clitch with Skype which hasnt been fixed yet, Highly annoying especially since I leave it running in teh back ground in case my partner who is in the Ex calls!!
glad to see I'm not the only one being affected.. randomly last night, I had 6 or 7 people I don't know calling me & IM'ing me. So I blocked them all. Then I had another 8 people. It's driving me crazzzzzyyyyy! When I go to my privacy settings, I change to ' allow people on my contact list only ' and press save. Then when I go back into privacy, it still says ' allow anyone to contact me '. what to do???
