We have been getting unsolicited Skype calls from the below users. Each time the call is a recording telling us that our system has been penetrated and urging us to go to a certain website to download and install software that will supposedly clean our system of the infection that it supposedly now has.

I did find that article and have taken those actions. But it still begets the question -> Since I cannot place a Skype call to anyone that has not first agreed to share info with me, why can others do it? The fact that they can gives the appearance that someone has found a way to circumvent/penetrate Skype's protections.

That's directions for Skype calls on the computer, but it does not block them from calling your cell phone. Is there a way to stop that?

I share your frustrations with what I refer to as tele-spam. If I knew of a way to prohibit these nuisance calls, I would gladly share it with you!
Skype is secure. Simply do not answer unrecognized callers, and as the tutorial above advises, block and report as abuse unsolicited contact invitations. If in doubt, always report incidents of concern to Skype Customer Service immediately. contact customer service

Since signing up to Skype on my new I-Phone last month, i have been getting calls from a repair service, which i block along with the" lonely females" from Russia. This is very annoying to say the least. Calls from---a1.repair.system.9, adwoa.adwoa bbo.repair.service.1, go.c.syspc.7, icmaintn.19, rpsys.pm.1, swj.repair.service.0, system.kkr.repair.1 , system.txq.repair7 , vdp.system.m.0,!!! to name a few, are all scammers!!! WHY Can`t these pests be dropped by SKYPE? TU
