Receiving virus links via chat from my contacts [ Edited ]

from yesterday gets links from my friends and they shall receive from me and no one they did not send it the following link
please help

I know a friend who opened it, and I got the same message in my skype. Looks like guy who created it intentionally launched it on Saturday, when Skype team is in vacation. Well... I'd like to know what is the virus removal procedure to help my friend though

that is not an image file but a possible virus indeed.  Whoever created that virus intentionally included the words "picture" and "jpg" so unsuspecting users will be mislead thinking what they will be opening is just a picture file.

Try locate in processlist file called mdm.exe, and kill the process,

Then download any startup program management utilities - for example Nirsoft Startup.cpl and look for "Windows Firevall engine" that references the "c:/windows/mdm.exe". Delete or disable those in startup and delete the file itself under c:/windows/mdm.exe

Couldn't it be fixed with using msconfig instead of downloading a program like Nirsoft Startup?

I too, received the "hahaha foto" thru one of our contacts. I have not opened up any of the malicious attachments but I cannot get rid of the contact with the attachments. I've seen the post reply in regards to stopping the mdm.exe process but I can't seem to find this process. Where do I find it? Can you please provide a more detailed procedure on how to remove this from my PC. Thanks.

guys, does not help. I've tried several options suggested here but also on other websites. I got a first message from someone from my contact list with invitation to check a picture on Facebook. I did not open it, of course. This message was in fact sent to all contacts of the sender, i could see it. And now if someone wants to leave this chat, i see this notice. I also get a message that those persons on the list will become my contact persons after i add them. And comperable messages so around 15-20 per day. Makes me crazy, my sister also stands on the list and i suppose everyone who gets this message. Do you have any other suggestions how to get rid of this problem???
