Profile privacy

Hi! I just wanted to know if I can make my profile only visible for people who know my skype name. A lot of contact requestes are being sent to me and I don't want to be bloking people all the time. Thanks!!!

Re: Profile privacy

There are some account details that can be changed to private, visible to contacts only, or visible to all.  yet, there are some that are permanently set as private, for contacts only, and public.  You can go to the Skype >> Profile >> Edit Your Profile section to update the visibility settings of your account information.  If the account details privacy can be changed, there will be a dropdown selection menu opposite the account detail.

Re: Profile privacy

Hi,  Jimenah, and welcome to the Community,

Remember also to check that your privacy settings are adjusted to accept calls and IM's from people on your contact list only - and remember also to click Save after making any changes to your settings.

I also always recommend leaving the Gender setting as "blank" or "not specified."  Do not post a real picture of yourself, either; choose something neutral.

Regards,

Elaine
