Privacy settings wont change!

I've changed my privacy settings on my phone and on the computer from anyone can contact me to contacts only, and it won't work! On my phone it says contacts only but I'm still having random people I don't know contacting me! & on the computer its saying it couldn't change it because skype doesn't support skype me or something like that! Pls help me! Everytime I log in I'm having like 6 to 7 people I dnt know trying to talk to me! & when I block them more keep coming?

I have the same problem but I get over 10 in a day of people I don't know calling me. I use this so my kids can skype their aunts, uncles, and grandparents...I CAN'T have just anyone able to call me. This needs to be fixed!!

I agree. I get around 10 to 15 of these things. I have changed the privacy setting multiple times but it don't change. I have friends and family that I talk to on skype. Please get this fixed as soon as possible.

Experiencing the same thing but if I get 50 random calls a day i'm having a 'lucky' day. Really really needs to be fixed!!

This needs to be fixed quickly...just today i have had 80 calls/im from random ppl....i had to log out just so my computer would not be going off while i was asleep and i missed an important call from a friend...i have an 8 year old that is at my computer some and I would hate for her to accidentally answer a call thinking it was one of my friends and have some guy naked on cam.

Yes, please, Skype must fix this now. My privacy settings are such that I should only receive IM's, calls, or video calls from people on my contact list. Then how are people not on my contact list able to send filthy messages? My grandmother is on Skype, and I'm afraid she might be subject to this stuff, too, despite having the appropriate security settings.

Having the same problem! I use skype for work and this is getting extremely annoying.

Please fix this problem asap!

I had the same problem but found an answer from VooDooDoll from another post.

Here's the tip below.

not certain of the logic behind this procedure, but it actually work in numerous similar cases. Just switch to offline status for at 5-10 seconds, then revert back to online. Then proceed in changing your privacy settings to desired options and the new settings should stick.

No, I do not want to buy whatever you are trying to sell me

I just want to talk to my friends since they all live out of state!  I use Skype for work and for fun and it's SOOOO annoying when I'm on my phone and someone tries to video chat me and it's no one on my contacts list when EVERYTHING is contacts only!!!

Please fix this Skype!!!!
