I received numerous emails from Skype, some in English, some in Chinese regarding bills posted to my account--about $80 that I did NOT authorize. The charges showed up in my bank statement. I believe someone was fraudulently using my account and I think this is unacceptable. I have therefore closed that account. The following are emails I received.

Hi elainem77,
Thanks for your response, the problem is that, I bought $10 Skype credit, and made only two calls, then Skype blocked my account unexpectedly. When I contacted Customer Service agents and asked about this, they told me that I'm not allowed to know the reason why my account was suspended.
They said, your account will be suspended forever, your balance is non-refundable (lost), and you have to make a new account.
Regards aamiin123

When you get an email in another language that you do not understand, go to "Google Translate" and you can put the text in, Google detects the language and translates to English or any other language you select.
I did this for the email you received and posted to this string. It was Chinese, here is the translation:

I hope the above helps.
ALSO
Many hackers send out "SPOOF emails" in an attempt to get login information and user's passwords. There are two primary things you can do to prevent being hacked.
1. NEVER click on the links you get in emails you did not request. If for some reason you do, look at the "embedded" email address and NOT the address shown. EXAMPLE: the text for the link shows: Skype.accounts.com/VerifyYourAccount/ well, when you hold your mouse cursor over the link (DO NOT CLICK) it should show the actual link embedded in the text link that you are seeing... So, in reality the true embedded link may show as: abxyz.china.boots.com/1286hack.asp or a phony hacker site that created a page that looks EXACTLY like a Skype log-in page. If you are dumb enough to enter your log-in name and password, the hacker gets it, and you are then forwarded to the actual real Skype page (with the hacker auto forwarding the page logging you in to Skype with the ID and password you just entered). Problem is, the hacker now knows your ID and password. The same applies when hackers send out phony emails from banks; fedex accounts; PayPal, etc... When you see this type of scum trying to spoof you into giving them your ID and password, just delete the email or if you have time copy the email and "header" information and send to the institution that are committing the fraud against.
2. When you want to see is an email is a "Spoof" email, look at the "header" info. Most email servers will have a click on when you get an email that says "View Header Information". Click on it and it will show the internet routing for the email you just got. Now the beginning senders address can be spoofed. So, it may appear genuine. But, the final routing will show where the email actually came from. So on the top strings it may say: www.Skype.customerservice.com (the spoofed address) but the lower string of actual sender may say as an example: exbing123.cn.com or trblink.access.ru when you see this it is a fraud spoof mail and follow the instructions given in #1 above.
PS: Additionally hackers will attach files to the email you get that if you download it and open, it will install a malicious hacking software spy program on your computer designed to capture all of your passwords and log-in IDs you enter on your computer and send it back to the hacker. So NEVER download files attached to Spoof emails.
Again, I hope this helps.

Same deal as described above - these are well-known pfishing and scam attempts.
- Do not answer the calls
- Block and Report as Abuse; Skype staff really do monitor these reports!
- Review the following information ... a lot of helpful information is on the Skype website; this is my personal "best of the best" list:
