Hi. I'm trying to login with my 'old' username but Skype will refuse it ('andrelmsantos').
The user ID is 'andrelmsantos' but whenever I click 'I forgot my password' and type down my e-mail address, the site cannot find any account associated with that e-mail address.
If I choose 'I forgot my e-mail' and type down my username to, at least, retrieve the associated e-mail, the site says something like:
"It was not possible to check your ID.
We used your billing details to verify your ID. [...]
It looks like your account associated with your Skype name 'andrelmsantos' does not have any billing details. Unfortunately this means we could not verify your identity."
AND, to make it even worse, if I try to create a new account using that username ('andrelmsantos'), the site tells me that this username is already being used!!!
How can I recover my old username?! The site/app won't let me in!
Thanks

Hi, andrelmsantos, and welcome to the Community!
Indeed, Skype will not permit you to sign up for a new account using an existing account name. Skype also must establish one way or another that you are the rightful owner of the account. Please contact Skype Customer Service contact customer service; if all else fails, you will have to abandon the account.
You must contact Skype Customer Service as we here in the Community are not authorized to resolve account-related matters.
