Malicious connection through skype?

Hello! I'm using Malwarebytes and today it alerted me with a message "Malwarebytes has blocked a possible malicious connection" or something like that. Cannot remember word from word anymore. It says this in the log files: IP-BLOCK 89.28.123.175 (Type: incoming, Port: 43427, Process: skype.exe) It shows 2 of those messages a few seconds apart from each other. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Re: Malicious connection through skype?

I think no.  I remember that I read previous reports and explanations regarding such behaviour before, and it seems that such is just a normal but not harmful behaviour of Skype.  You can simply enter the word "Malwarebytes" in the search box to look for similar discussions.

Re: Malicious connection through skype?

If Malwarebytes is reporting malicious activity from Skype, then Skype should address that. It is not acceptable for such a widely used platform to require it's users to accept such a warning as 'normal'. Malware warnings should mean one must take heed, and if it is not necessary to, then the issue needs to be resolved.

Re: Malicious connection through skype?

I'm getting all kinds of malware warnings that started within the past two days. Now we have discovered there is all sorts of malicious code on every page of our ecommerce site. We are researching whether the access by the hackers is attributable to Skype's insecure interface.
