As the thread title suggests, I set up a Skype account years ago when I was with another ISP. I used Skype maybe once or twice then stopped, because I had no real need to use it. I'd now like to re-activate the account but I've forgotten the password and I can't get it emailed to me because the original email account no longer exists.
Is there any way to either: associate a new email address with the old account and re-set the password; or delete the old account completely so I can re-start with my old user name? It's not a huge deal - I've created a separate account with the same user name but with a "2" at the end... it just bugs me that it's called *****2, is all.
It should be pretty obvious that I was the one who set up the previous account: the email name is the same (just the ISP has changed); the account hasn't been used in at least two years (probably closer to three or four) and I can verify any other details that may be required of me.
Is this possible?

I think the only way to retrieve a password provided the the email address registered in it is no longer accessible is if you have a purchase or billing history in the last 6 months.
