How to Handle Suspicious Calls, Messages and Contact Requests (Scam/Spam)

I have Skype on my iPad can't right click so how do I get rid of this other than ignore.

I have been receiving calls recently from someone who may be using Skype. The reasons is that on my Call Display the caller is identified as 'Unknown Name/Private Number.  The calls are coming on my phone, not on my computer via Skype.  I have a friend who uses Skype all  the time and this same message appears when the calls come in. However, I received one call last night when my friend was in the room with me so obviously it was not him who was calling me. The call came at 10 p.m. last night and again at 6:50 this morning. Both these calls were at a very unusual time for me to receive calls. The next one at 7 a.m. included a threatening message from a man.  My question is do you have a method of searching for calls that came to my phone ? I have no way of knowing for sure if they are from someone using Skype, but my feeling is that they are.  I look forward to any advice you can give me.

It's a SCAM! Please right click on the conversation in your recent tab and choose block.

My query was if it's possible to check skype users to see if anyone used skype to call my HOME PHONE NUMBER. I'm aware that I can block a skype call if I'm on line and using skype when it comes in.  The point is on my call display it said 'unknown number - private user' or something like that and the message was in an echoey voice that said 'Watch what the f**k you write." I have had no repeat incidents and maybe it was not a skype call. I thought I would check it because can call home numbers from skype because I have a friend who uses only skype for all his calls. Thanks for all the tips on how I can block skype calls ....there was some good advice and I'll be sure to use it when and if I get an abusive call from a skype user.

You can block calls that do not have a caller id "Unknown/Hidden Number":

hi,

a couple of days ago I noticed a problem with my account - all contacts were removed and in the calling history I see several skype calls to the numbers belonging to Democratic republic of Congo. My account was charged for these calls for several euros.

For sure I have no reason to call to some Congo number, I am only calling to Russian numbers.

Is there any security specialist here who could take a look what happened to my account ?
