Deleting Blocked Contacts

Hi. I keep on getting random strangers request me and I keep on blocking them but now I have about 5 blocked contacts on my side bar and it really disturbs me to have their names and pictures there even if they are blocked. Is there any way to delete them?

p.s. these names are always under where it says- Today,Yesterday, This week,....

you can either right-click then select hide conversation (even there was no really conversation that took place), or just select/highlight their name, then hit Delete in your keyboard directly.

I, also, have not been able to find a way to delete blocked contacts on a Mac. I did try using my iPhone app to remove them, which I did, but it did not sync with my desktop program on my MacBook Pro. So, here is what I did . . . I made sure that I selected "Contacts" at the top of that left side bar, so that only my contacts would show up. Then just grab that line that is the right hand border to the block and slide it over to the left. Then all of your blocked contacts are hidden, but your "real" contacts are all that show up on the screen. I hope that made sense. Unfortunately, the blocked contacts are still there, but at least they are hidden from view . . . now they don't creep me out as much.  ;o)

Right-click - unblock - block again and name disappears - well, it did for me - Version 5.1.0.935 on Mac.

Hi all together, i had the same issue. But even when you have delted them out of your contacts like the PM said there are still under your preferences/ privacy/ manage blocked users.

How can I finally delete that? I do not want to see those id any more at all, not even burried/ hidden in the preferences. Please help !  

I actually removed sypke interly from the hard drive and had it reinstalled, but it seems to be not locally stored on drive. It is with the account itself.

PM, please help me to delete those "hidden" blocked contacts.

I have been reading many many users that would like to have these "contacts" removed from their list of real contacts, not just hear but from a previous skype forum going back to 2008. It seems to me if this has been an issue for this long that someone at skype would find the right programmer to make the adjustments necessary to get these unwanted spammers off of our contacts list purely because we decided to block them from intruding on our lives. 

Get with it Skype really. We should not have to make due with it just because that is the way that it is. Some users take advantage of your free service and we appreciate it, but others pay for your service and deserve better.

Neither of these options works.  I do not see that option when I right clock.  Is it because I have a Mac.  I have never had so many unwanted and questionable conacts.  And I don't want to look at their faces every day.  What can I do.  Why does Skype not offer the option to delete?

I am a pensioner & enjoy talking to my grandchildren over skype, however I have quite a few unwanted contacts which I blocked but cannot delete from my contacts.  I, like the other message do not wish to see the faces of CIA directors, Generals, Princes and suchlike.  Please skype, organise how to delete.  I have an iMac

I also use an imac on skype. The post above suggesting blocking and unblocking attempted contacts does work, for me anyway. Right clicking on a mac means holding down the control key and clicking.
