I sent 3 important SMS messages, which were paid by direct deduction from my account.
None of which were ever received and I am most embarressed. I wish Microsoft had left things alone.

All I can say is ditto ditto ditto..... I used to have no trouble sending SMS's through Skype, now I can't send a single one, yet everytime I try, it sure takes my money.... not happy at all. Get it fixed Skype, very bad for business.

I am having the same failure and have been since November.
Almost every SMS fails to even get to the "send" status let alone delivered.
I am truely sick of it as I use SMS mode professionally also.
Skype, for someone who has been using Skype for over 6 years this is unacceptable that Skype will not fix a core problem yet still deduct SMS charges even while the message is still within their own system and not handed off to a cellular operator.
The mobiles I send to are on different operators and different phones ( all in coverage) at different times so the only common thing is the Skype network itself that can be causing it to fail sending SMS messages.
It is almost impossible to find ( I haven't found one yet) an email address to send a technical request to regarding this problem.
regards
sratten

This is unacceptable for skype users being unable to send SMS while the charges is deducting.
I wish Microsoft leave things Alone.

I am having the same issue with SMS. I cannot send even to another SKype user.
I have gotten a Skype number too in case that was a problem, but it still did not work.
There is no number to call, no where to send a complaint into except this forum.
Yes, I have credit for the account, but it says there is no credit for texting, but there are no instructions to put more credit for just texts, I am very discouraged to using this system.
