free trial month

Hi. I have a skype account and recently bought some skype-credit. My friend who I live with how ever recieved an email about a free trial month, actually worth the same amount of credit I bought for.

I think this is really discriminating since I had to pay for mine, while he on the other hand multiple times have received free trial things.

Since I am a Skype-user, I wish to be treated as everyone else and I demand a free month.

Re: free trial month

Promotional offers are not sent for everyone, only some selected users.
I can assure you that Skype has no intention to discriminate users. Some promotions are sent to everyone and some only to selected users.

Since Skype is constantly offering different promotions I'm sure you will be offered trials in the future as well.

All subscriptions are recurring by default: support.skype.com/en-us/faq/FA10414/How-do-subscriptions-work#3

In order to set up recurring payments payment method verification is required.

If you try it out and you don't like it then you can cancel recurring payments: support.skype.com/en/faq/FA1881/How-do-I-cancel-my-subscription

I have successfully cancelled by going onto "subscriptions" page and typing in cancel my subscriptions. Went through the steps and it seemed to work. I have learnt a lesson and will wait til I have someone knowledgable's advice

Re: free trial month

Hi, I’ve received the free trial email and I am going to Japan, I want to know if I can call back to Hong Kong (mobile or landline) under this free trial. I have registered my account in Hong Kong.
