International Calling: Korea to US

Hi, I'm sure you've answered thousands of questions like this but searching on the internet hasn't really answered it. Right now I'm currently living in South Korea for study abroad, and I just purchased an unlimited subscription to the united states so I could.. well. Call from my computer to the united states. I don't know alot about phones so bear with me here.. Did I purchase the right subscription? I paid for it in US dollars through a visa. Also, when I'm calling someone- they wouldn't be charged an international fee, right? Thanks, Echo

Re: International Calling: Korea to US

Hi Echo,

Your subscription covers US landline and mobile numbers, so if you will be calling only US then you have the right subscription

Note: It doesn't matter where you are located. Subscription just needs to cover calling destination.

Regarding charges on receiver side, this is something I can't answer. Skype charges only caller, not the receiver. It depends on your contact's phone service provider if incoming calls are charged or not. Unfortunately I don't know what kind of contract they have with their phone service provider.

Your contact in US should be able to check this with their phone service provider. Probably they already know it.
