USA unlimited subscription-include Hawaii?

Hi

I assumed when I subscribed to the USA unlimited mobile phone/landline subscriptin AU$7.99 per month that it includes Hawaii, can you confirm this is correct? The number I need to ring is a Hawaii 808 number.  If doesnt cover Hawaii please advise how I go about changing the subscription

Also the additional $8.00 charge is that for texting to Hawaii too?

Hi Janet,

US subscriptions include also Hawaii. Your call history shows that last month you managed to make few calls there as well: https://secure.skype.com/account/call-history

Could you place a call to Hawaii directly from your computer instead of using Skype To Go. If this goes through and Skype To Go call doesn't then the issue is not with the subscription.

Regarding texting, subscriptions don't include SMS messages, so Skype Credit is used for this based on rates here: http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/prices/sms-rates/

thanks Andre!  that is a relief.  I did try to get an online number for Hawaii so that my friend there can call me via the online number instead of to Australian number, but Hawaii is excluded from the US states which I found hard to believe!  That was why I was worried that my US calling subscription might not cover Hawaii. 

Can you tell me how to get an online number for Hawaii? what territory do I use?

I see.

Online Numbers are divided based on countries so US would be the country, but the problem is that not all states or cities are covered.
Skype is getting it's numbers from local carriers and if local carrier is not able to provide number for specific region/state/city then it won't be listed.

I checked and it seems right now Skype doesn't have numbers for Hawaii
I don't know how much your friend will be charged by their local phone service provider if they call another US states, but probably it should be less than calling Australia. Maybe you can get a number in another US state.
Check with your friend how they are charged if they call a different state.

Hi there - can i check - i've got a UK account and a subscription that covers the USA, UK, Ireland and Canada - can i use my skype subscription to ring a land line in hawaii?

i was unsure as you guys were talking about a Oz-based subscription.
