I am utterly exasperated with the totally crap support service provided by Skype. I have been trying for an hour to work out how to request a refund on a purchase made in error ( due to the skype payment window crashing ). I followed the link too many times to know, and it just returns me to the same page. I then went to network support and could see that someone else had the same problem, a reply with a link to solve the problem was posted, I followed that link only to find it took me back to the skype support page which wouldn't allow me to post my refund request in the first place. Can someone please help me to resolve this issue or how do I contact Skype and speak with a support operator?

In order to request a refund follow these steps:
1. Go to support site https://support.skype.com (or click on Support from upper right corner of Skype homepage)
2. In the search type in keyword refund
3. First result should be: https://support.skype.com/en-us/faq/FA297/How-do-I

How do I request a refund?
To request a refund, you need to submit a support request to Skype Customer Service. Click this link, sign in to your account (if you’re not signed in already) and click Email support. Choose the help topic Payments and the related problem Refund requests. At the bottom of the page, clickContinue support request, and enter as much information as you can in the fields provided.
The refund will be credited to the same payment method that was used to purchase, so you must be able to provide proof of your initial purchase.
After we send you confirmation that the refund has been issued, it can take 5 to 7 business days for the money to reach your account. In the case of a bank transfer refund, it can take up to 2 weeks.
If after this time you have still not received the refund you requested, first confirm this with your bank, and then contact Skype Customer Service quoting the order ID.
(you can read the full article here; https://support.skype.com/en-us/faq/FA297/How-do-I
You can also send an email to contactus@skype.net (just in case you are having troubles in finding the email Skype option), just use the same email subjects headings mentioned above.

I followed the directions to request a refund but I am unable to process the request. When I click 'continue support request', there is no option to 'send an email' to detail the refund request. Instead, there are two link options, 'support network' and 'start a chat'. Can you help with this problem? I deactivated my trial subscription on 3/26/12 before the 30 day trial period was over yet Skype billed my credit card $13.99 for the unlimited world plan. Can you help expedite help me process my refund request? Otherwise, I will notify my bank to dispute the charge.
