My subscription's not working!

Hi all, I've just bought a monthly subscription but when I go to make a call it says I can't call phones without credit. What on earth does this mean, I'm paying £9/month

Ok I get it now. I was trying to call what is known as a "non geographic" number, one of those where companies make massive amounts of money by getting you to call an 0870 number of similar. These are NOT included in subscriptions so my guess is Skype could not reach agreement with whoever to share the massive amount of money between them.

Forget that, tried to call a mobile number in Sweden today - still not working so I've cancelled the subscription. Really annoying that you can't talk to anyone at this company, when it doesn't do what it should.... grrrr

IM GOIN THROUGH THE SAME THING AND WHERE THE HELL IS THE 1800 NUMBER FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE TOO TALK WITH A LIVE PERSON TOO FIX THE PROBLEM.

I have had a free unlimited subscription active for a month, but when I call ant landline my Skype dredit is reduced.   I have not had one second of benefit from the subscription.   I want to take out a subscrption to the UK but not if it is a fraud like my so called unlimited world wide.    Is there a human in the system that can respond...  I have not been able to find one.

Sorry haven't looked at this thread for a while but I've cancelled the subscription and will just buy credit when I need it. (one offspring in Sweden another in Oz). I've used our son's account from Sweden to phone UK 0800 (toll free) numbers for nothing so it does work but the subscriptions seem dodgy. I think everyone who works for Skype must sit in the dark writing computer code. Human customer service is another planet to them!

That happens to me also. I just bought yesterday a suscription that I have been using for a long time. Tried to call to the same number and still I am getting the same error that I have to buy credit with Skype. Anyone knows if Skype is having problem to deliver the suscriptions? Thanks

I just got a subscription for one month of unlimited calls to landlines and mobiles, but it isn't working even though the landline is in one of the designated countries. Do I need skype credit to use the subscription? any tips appreciated!
