When I call home to the US, it seems like it's 2¢ a minute. When I call to Hungary it seems to be 23¢ a minute!! I ran out of credits before I knew what was happening! What's going on? This seems really expensive!

Hi to you too...
A short test give me that
11/08/11 21:44 3614388080 Hungary-Budapest 0.019 00:00:03 EUR 0.058
0.039 (connexion fee) + 1x0.019(Price/min) = 0.058 € (Excl. VAT)
Are you sure you're not calling a mobile phone ? (+36 20 xxx xxx / +36 30 xxx xxx / +36 70 xxx xxx)
Your call history shows that last calls were to mobile number in Hungary which costs 22.5cents: http://www.skype.com/intl/en/prices/payg-rates/?cu
Plus connection fee: http://www.skype.com/go/connectionfee

Be careful when traveling to Eastern Europe countries. The political red tape is horrendous, and trickles down to the companies operating in these countries, especially Hungary. Politicians must have their share of the operations "first", and much of the costs go there I am sorry to say. Perhaps in the future generations this corruption will be eradicated however not totally. Good luck.
