September is my anniversary month for my subscription to Skype unlimited calling (US). I received the subject message via e-mail. Does this mean I won't be able to use Skype after April unless I update my credit card or that the automatic renewal will not occur in September but I will still have unlimited calling until then? I am not sure I want to renew after September but since I paid for service for one year I would like to be able to use Skype for the full year (through September 2012). Thank you.
I have the same question, but I am not going to be so nice asking it.
Who does skype think it is telling me that you are going to cancel my account in April, when I am fully paid up through July for my calling plan and through September for my number?
The email instructions are both incorrect & incomplete if you merely want to update a renewed credit card payment:
3. Choose an existing stored payment method or add a new method
produces no result.
Apparently you must re-enter your card info with its new expiration date:
Your account page > Subscriptions - Settings
> Change payment method > Add payment method
- re-enter card info with new expiration date
I posted this on another question. It is impossible to get an explaination from Skype. I guess they have enough customers now that they can behave like the big telcoms and tell their customers what hoops they must go through to be able to be a Skype customer.
