Wi-Fi network access

My apologies,

I'm sure this has happened to others before, there is a solution filled thread about this somewhere in the forum, and that this is probably a quick fix. I am new to Skype and not as tech-saavy as I think I am. 

I am receiving an error message within Skype saying that my current Wi-Fi network does not support Skype Access.

The tip afterword informs me that Skype does not work on private or closed networks.

What is the solution fixing to this? Thanks.

I have an account, but cannot open skype. "Not supported on this architecture" is the response. How do I correct this?
