SMS messages not being delivered

i've been sending SMS via Skype for years. i was convinced that this was a Skype problem, but now not so sure. many of the complaints have been sending SMS to Thailand...same as me. i could not send an SMS to Thailand (AIS 1-2-Call Network) for the past week. today i tried many times again to no avail, while Skype was showing SMS Delivered and my account being charged. usually i send from the USA to Thailand, but today i tried from the Netherlands. it didn't work, so i tried sending a Skype SMS to my AIS 1-2-Call GSM SIM card phone that was with me. both times the SMS's were received immediately to my phone. i've had other problems with AIS 1-2-Call over the years. this still could be a Skype issue, but knowing Thailand and the history of problems with AIS...now i'm not so sure

I´m sending SMS to the Phillipines and no one has been delivered but all of them are charged and paid.

What happens with my money?

I have the same problem within South Africa.  Most do not go thru although it says delivered and the money is deducted.  Those that do go thru are shown from some obscure number. Any replies made are then lost.  Skype please refund the money taken for no service.

Is this a Microsoft problem?  Skype worked well before!

Here same problems as told by the others in the pages before.

SMS from The Netherlands to Thailand occasionly work but 95% dont go past sent.

Before last week all worked well, (about 1-3 nogo a week) but now its a pain in the a**.

Some thing cannot be done by voice and must be done with SMS, now must do with normal GSM provider at €0.45 p/sms + the €0.05 for the not received skype SMS.

Please solve things and i think payback of unreceived SMSses would be nice too!

Same problem sending SMS to Thailand from New Zealand. Been using skype SMS since November and almost all messages have gone through. Today an SMS did not send. I am also sending to a 1-2-Call mobile -- I think there is a pattern here...

I placed some funds into Skype credit this morning for the purpose of sending low cost sms messages around the world. Based in Bangkok, Thailand I send many sms each day. My first sms send was to my wife, she was also in bangkok at the time. The system asked me to verify my phone number by sending an sms to myself, for which I was charged. This was about 11.00am Thai time today the 23rd of February. We are still waiting to receive both messages so i am unable to verify my telephone number. So Skype, if you are watching, please return my funds to my PayPal account and I will return to AIS, I never have a problem with sms deliveries with them. i will check my PayPal account in a few hours.

Skype has refused to reply to the many complaints about non-delivery of SMS messages while still charging for the service.

In January I wrote to the official government consumer protection organisation in Luxembourg - Centre Européen des Consommateurs GIE. Skype Technologies SA bills customers from that country. I pointed out that Skype has failed to address this issue over a considerable period and asked GIE to contact Skype on behalf of complainants to request resolution of the issue.

The consumer organisation informed me today that they raised the issue with Skype one month ago but that Skype has not yet replied to their correspondence.

I am currently in New Delhi, India. This account was originally opened in Bolivia, South America. As many of us Skype customers, I, too, am being robed. My SMS are NOT being delivered and I am being charged for them. There's not a contact telephone to call a real person and give them a good piece of my mind for robbing me. The only thing we can do is this: send each other messages telling the sad stories of how they rob our credits and do not deliver the service they were paid to deliver. But, what's been done to fix the problem? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! I would like to be advised regarding what to do as to filing a legal complaint or a law suit against Skype. I don't care if the messages are not being delivered: that tells me their service is below mediocre, but when it comes to taking my money for a service that is not delivered and nothing is being done on their part to remedy the theft... now, that's something different! I am fed up with this crap. Enough of reading sad stories and the such. Please help me. What can I do to to teach these thieves to respect their customers? I don't care if they are just pennies. I want my money back. I hope this is read by someone who really cares about us customers and is able to enlighten me to take legal actions against this bastards. Thank you.

Igot the same problem, it was working fine for the last two years and since a week i can not send sms anymore to Thailand. It must have something to do with skype and windows, not sure what. I don't have the problem if i send messages with Skype from my mobile telephone. I got a Nokia that works on Symbian.
