Re: Panasonic Blu Ray Player & Freetalk Conference webcam

We are having the same problem here (after it taking forever for it to even get here)!  Noticed that if you unplug webcam from Blu-Ray player then try to go into Skype, it shows a picture of a Panasonic Webcam TY-CC10W.  It does say that after you hook up webcam to Blu-Ray player to go to http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/ for operating methods but how do you go to that website on the player?

Re: Panasonic Blu Ray Player & Freetalk Conference webcam

I have already exahusted more than enough time and patients to this issue between working with Panasonic, ebuynow, and skype. The panasonic blu ray does not have web browsing capibilities, so the message is guiding you to use your PC to lookup troubleshooting techniques (lost cause). I have since bailed out on the Panasonic and freektalk paperweights and purchased the sony blu ray and camera setup. I will let you know if I have success with Sony once they arrive.

Hi All

I have put a request into Panasonic for an answer to the issues you are reporting between the Pana BD Players and the Freetalk camera. Will post an update here as soon as I get an answer. Best wishes

Re: Panasonic Blu Ray Player & Freetalk Conference webcam

I just tried out my Sony Blu Ray player with Sony webcam and Skype worked on the first try! After trying numerous avenues with customer support (no help what so ever) trying to get my Panasonic BDT110 and Freetalk webcam setup to work with Skype, what a breath of fresh air to purchase products that actually work as advertised. Sony is top notch in my book! Lesson learned.

Re: Panasonic Blu Ray Player & Freetalk Conference webcam

Hi Everyone,

eBuyNow is working hard to find a solution quickly as to why some people are having issues with the FREEALK HD webcamera working with their Panasonic Blu-ray player.  To confirm the camera itself is not actually defective, test it on your PC to confirm the audio and video are working.   I will post updates for you here as soon as more news is available.

Best regards,

Re: Panasonic Blu Ray Player & Freetalk Conference webcam

Do you have a Sony TV:
Skype Video Chat: Built-in Skype capability makes it easy to communicated with friends and family all over the globe with internet voice and video calls (for free). Simply add a compatible microphone/camera (sold separately) to make Skype-to-Skype video calls or Skype-to-phone calls through your compatible Sony TV.

Re: Panasonic Blu Ray Player & Freetalk Conference webcam

I have a Freetalk 7181 that I purchased along with a Panasonic DMP-BDT215 for use with Skype on my tv.

It does not show local video.

Panasonic has referred me to Freetalk.

Freetalk.me website is not user friendly at all, but Skype forums gave me the email address, support@ebuynow.com.

Please tell me how I can get this camera to work with my blu-ray player.

Thank you.
