New iPhone App - SMS Invalid Number

The newest iPhone app from 2 days ago says the international number I am sending an SMS to is invalid when it worked perfectly fine on the previous version of the app.

same thing happening tome  number doesntwork from iphone.  it still works from my mac, but i didnt upgrade it there.  and now i dont want to upgrade it if its gonna mean i cant international text

I have this same issue, Australia to Ireland SMS

I can make calls to numbers using Skype app on my iPhone, but when I try to SMS it says number is invalid.

Please fix ASAP Skype!!!

I'm having the same problem on an iPhone 4S and iPad 2. It's an 11 digit mobile number in China which works fine from my Macbook Pro but gives an invalid number message when I try to send SMS from either of the portable devices.

A solution would be very welcome.
