If the BB Bold 9780 is on the Verizon network here in the USA, then yes! Whether Skype is available for your BB depends upon the wireless carrier. (I haven't been keeping track of which model BB matches up with which wireless carrier.)

Skype are famous for 2 things. Bad customer service and absolute silence when it comes to the Skype for BlackBerry issue. Write to them at contactus@skype.net , if they are not fooling around with Skype for String they may have time to send you one of their famous canned replies. Good Luck.
