It seems that skype don't listen to the symbian users problem.... Don't you think skype people u should give a reasonable answer to the millions of symbian users.

Re: Video calls for Symbian users too..

First Symbian phone was launched in 2000. Till date Nokia has released millions of Symbian mobiles. I have a Nokia E72 for past 2 years with Skype installed. I used to make calls using Skype, but am very desperate coz I cannot make video call on the move. For past 6 years am using Nokia Symbian phone with front camera (Earlier I had Nokia N70), but what for. Its totally useless since no applications even Skype provide video calling feature. The simple question is, if Skype can provide Video calling feature for Iphone, Android, Windows mobile and Blackberry, then why can't they run this feature in Symbian as well? Symbian was the leader in Smartphone market which was recently overtaken by Android, but you people cant provide us a very simple feature. Do you have any specific reason to this issue? Either you resolve this issue or provide a reason what so ever it is.

Разработчики скайпа просто не хотят заработать деньги: выпустили бы платную версию с видео за пару евро-много тысяч пользователей нокий купили бы эту программу !

Re: Video calls for Symbian users too..

They're not bothered. They don't even reply to questions which makes me wonder what's the purpose of this forum? Start swearing and you'll get attention... What is this? A 12th century market?

Obviously this is a form of marketing to make us buy iPhones, Android or even worst: Blackberry phones.

Skype for Symbian has been around for ages, I've had Symbian with a front camera since forever and when the iPhone comes out, they forget about basic needs like copy/paste, alarm clock and MMS but they get video calls with Skype? They banned fring from providing Skype video calls too because they don't want this for us, they want us to buy iPhones

Re: Video calls for Symbian users too..

An official response from Skype on whether they are ever going to upgrade symbian/Belle to include video calling? The words 'first freeze over hell will' come to mind but I just can't seem to put them into a sentence - a bit like Skype then who can't seem to form the words 'walking is Skype away symbian from' into a similar sentence... If experince tells me anything, its that ignoring millions of potential customers and their requests will inevitable come right back and bite you on the rear end to eye watering effect, maybe not today or tomorrow, next week or next year, but eventually, as Nokia has found out, it is inevitable.

Show some respect for symbian users and have the guts to say once and for all whether or not you are going to add video calling to Symbian/Belle.

I agree with you! They have to show some respect for symbian users and be the guts for solving our video calling problem!
